Prompts...can sometimes be a little scary..

Okay, so a friend of mine passed away this past 4th of July and I took the last picture I have of us together and used it for a poetry prompt. It's kind of scary how this turned out...but let me know your insight and how you feel about it.

I'm curious about the nature of the prompt - what was it, exactly? I don't feel like I'm well-equipped to say anything without knowing the parameters.

This is the writing prompt I used from Big Window.

This writing prompt begins with a photograph. You can use the one by Travis Ruse that I have posted below, or find one on your own and print a copy. Draw a 4x4 grid onto the photo. A ruler is not necessary! You will end up with 16 boxes. Write a 16 line poem, using each square as the leaping point for each line.

I like the outcome very much....I would like to see a little more development--via elimination of repetitions, mostly. See me with questions. Thanks and keep writing....
